Stages

A stage is where a record sits in its life: "New → Contacted → Negotiation → Closed won". Stages are defined for the whole module and appear on every record in it as a progress track.

Defining them

In the Module Builder, the "Lifecycle Stages" section: type a stage name and add it. Order them with the up and down arrows — the order is the path a record walks — and remove the ones you do not need.

On a record

The record page shows the stages as steps, with the current one marked. You can change it by hand, and a workflow can change it with a single button press — which is what stages are mostly used for.

On dashboards

A stage is a field like any other: you can chart "deals by stage", or count the records sitting in one stage.

A module without stages

Not every module needs them. A "Clients" table may have no path at all; leave it without stages and no track appears.
