Add and edit records

A record is one row in a module: a specific property, a specific deal. You open a module's records from the project page, with "Open module data in this project".

Adding a record

Press "Add New Record". A side panel opens with the module's fields in the order you set, under the line "Fill out the details below to add a new record". Required fields hold the save. Finish with "Save Record".

Each box follows its field's type: a list to pick from, a date picker, a search across another module's records for a relation, a person picker for an employee field.

The record page

From the table, "View Details" opens the record: stages at the top, then who it is assigned to, then the fields in the order you set, with created and last-changed dates at the bottom, and the custom buttons within reach.

Editing

"Edit record" from the table opens the same form with the current values. If a choice field holds a value that is no longer one of its options, the app says so — "The saved value … is no longer one of this field's options" — and asks for a valid one before it will save.

Deleting

"Delete record" from the table. Deleting is final, so in many cases moving the record to a "Cancelled" stage is better than deleting it — it stays in the history and nothing is lost.
