Import from Excel

If your data is already in an Excel file, do not retype it. The import reads the file, maps its columns onto your module's fields, and shows you the problems before it saves anything.

1. Upload the file

Open the import dialog from the module's table and pick an .xlsx or .xls file. The app reads the first sheet only, and treats the first row as column headings.

2. Map columns to fields

Once read, you get a table: the file's column on one side, the field it will go to on the other. The mapping is guessed from the names, and you correct what it got wrong.

Leave a column unmapped to skip it.

3. Check the rows

Before saving, the problems are listed, each naming the row and the reason — such as "Row 7: 'Closed' is not a valid option for Status". Fix those rows in your file and upload again, or continue and import the rest.

4. Import

And if the import collides with another operation running at the same time, it retries; if that fails, nothing at all is saved and you try again with clean data.

Exporting

There is no Excel export in the app today.
